Waverly Students Create 645 Valentine's Boxes
Helps students with reading program and community service.

Waverly Avenue students are sharing their love of reading with children in shelters across Long Island.
For the 13th year, students were asked to create Valentine's Day reading boxes, which include books, a snack, simple games or activities, and a note from the Waverly student who created the box. They created a total of 645.
“The Valentine’s Reading Box project is another fine example of the kindness and generosity of the Waverly community,” said Waverly principal Dennis Kelly. “I am very proud of our students, parents and staff for once again going above and beyond to help others.”
