Happening this weekend at the Sachem Public Library.  

Quilters Sew-In
Saturday, 10 a.m.
In this open sew-in, share ideas with others and learn hands-on cutting and blocking techniques. Bring a project-in-progress or start something new. No registration required.  

Mixed Martial Arts
Saturday, 2 p.m.
Instructors from the Paladin Academy in Ronkonkoma will teach this four-week introduction to mixed martial arts. Participants will learn basic strikes and kicks as well as how to defend against the four most common attacks. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. Fee is $20.  

Naomi’s Latin American Mix
Sunday, 2 p.m.
In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, cabaret artist Naomi Zeitlin will perform traditional and contemporary Latin American favorites including Besame Mucho, Frenesi, and Quisas, Quisas, Quisas, along with hits by Grammy-winning merengue artist Olga Tanon.
