Wind Chill Temps Heading Below Zero

During this relatively mild winter, you can often head outside wearing just a thick sweatshirt. That won't do the job on Saturday, though.

Wind chill temperatures will drop to a degree or two below zero on the island early Saturday.

During the day, actual temperatures will warm through the 20s, peaking around 30, which is about 10 degrees below normal.

By Sunday, the high will be back in the mid-40s. There's still no sign of snow in the extended forecast.

Saturday- Sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.

Saturday Night- Increasing clouds, with a low around 25. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph.

Sunday- Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Wind chill values between 15 and 25 early. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph.

Sunday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. West wind 6 to 9 mph.

Monday- Sunny, with a high near 44.

Monday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Tuesday- Showers likely, mainly after 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tuesday Night- Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Wednesday- A 40 percent chance of showers before 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 42.
