World Cup: Sachem Area's Top Spots To Watch U.S. VS. France

SACHEM, NY — USA and France are set for a powerhouse matchup in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Women's World Cup, on Friday, June 28 at 3 p.m.

The United States team came into the tournament as heavy favorites to repeat as champions and win the trophy, so far, they've met those lofty expectations. The 23-player roster from the United States have won all four of their games, including a particularly dominant 13-0 victory over Thailand.

Star striker Alex Morgan is the joint high goal scorer in the tournament with five goals, and the team's defense has only allowed a stingy one goal in the four contests. But the competition is only getting tougher for the Americans. The team had to rely on two penalty kicks to defeat a strong Spanish opposition in the round of 16.

The United States will have to be at their best against a French side that also hasn't lost in the tournament, and comes into the match ranked No. 4 in the world.

With the United States progressing closer to the finals, the game on Friday is going to be must-see TV.

So even if your team isn't winning, at least you're taking advantage of some sweet deals.
