SMITHTOWN, NY — Three Smithtown High School East students — Olivia Scioscia, Genevieve Talento and Kylie Williams — were honored with JCRC-L.I.’s Students Building Bridges Award, according to the Smithtown Central School District.

The trio is slated to be recognized at the countywide virtual Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) commemoration on April 15. Students recognized with the award are working to create a more civil society. They may be students who are volunteering, building ties across different communities, working on intergenerational projects and more in the community.
