Bicyclist Critically Injured In Smithtown Crash: Police
A 51-year-old woman was riding her bicycle when she was hit by a car Wednesday morning, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — A woman riding her bicycle was critically injured when she was hit by a car Wednesday morning in Smithtown, Suffolk police said.
The woman, 51, was riding her bicycle northbound on Edgewood Avenue, east of Landing Avenue, when she was struck by a northbound 2019 Subaru at 8:53 a.m., police said. She was brought to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was listed in critical condition. Police withheld her identity pending notification of next of kin.
The Subaru driver, a 25-year-old Stony Brook woman, was not injured.
