Bicyclist Killed In Lake Grove Crash
A driver crashed into a 61-year-old man riding his bike early Friday, police say.
LAKE GROVE, NY — A man riding his bicycle was killed early Friday in Lake Grove when he was struck by a driver, Suffolk police said.
Peter Ferentinos, 61, of Nesconset, was riding his bike southb across Middle Country Road at the intersection of New Moriches Road when a 2005 Toyota sedan being driven east by a 20-year-old Sayville man collided with him at 1:44 a.m., police said.
Ferentinos was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The Toyota driver was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
