SMITHTOWN, NY - The holidays are here which means that several businesses and government entities will be closed.

Town offices in Smithtown close for the Christmas holiday and do not reopen until Wednesday, Dec. 26.

With the exception of Christmas Eve, all curbside trash and recycling pickup is delayed one day during the week of Christmas.

Town Hall will also be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.

  • Restaurants: Open at owner's discretion
  • Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion

  • Movie theaters: Open
