Cops: Smithtown Man Arrested for Possessing Child Pornography

A St. James woman was arrested on Dec. 15 on charges of intent to obtain transportation without paying. Police said a woman used a New York City taxi to travel from 40 East 4th St. in New York City to her Saint James home at 4:05 a.m on Nov. 9, where she refused to pay the cab driver.Â
Police arrested an employee of Gulf Gas Station, located at 240 West Main Street in Smithtown, was arrested and charged with four counts of unlawfully dealing alcohol to a minor under age 21 in the first-degree. On four different occassions between Sept. 21 and Oct. 21, the employee sold alcoholic beverages including Four Lokos and 24-ounce cans of Budweiser to a minor under age 21 without proper identification.Â
Arthur Biedenbach, 22, of Smithtown was arrested on Dec. 12 and faces three felony charges of possessing sexual performances by a child. After receiving a tip, a lengthy computer investigation was carried out by police detectives which led to the arrest of Biedenbach for possessing child pornography, according to police reports.
Police would not release any further details stating Biedenbach has already been arraigned in Central Islip courts.Â
Biedenbach was released on a $2,500 cash bail and is due back in court on Jan. 31, 2014, according to Webcrims.Â
