Long Island Co-Ed Golfers Competing In PGA Jr. League Regional

The Suffolk Division 4 All-Stars will take on teams from Syracuse, Bedminster and Penn State at this weekend's tournament.

SUFFOLK, NY — The Suffolk Division 4 All-Stars, a co-ed team of junior golfers, will be competing in a PGA Jr. League Regional at Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, NJ from Sept. 14-15.

The team won the PGA Jr. League Metropolitan Section Championship on Aug. 17 at Mosholu Golf Course to advance to the Regional. They will compete against three All-Star teams from Bedminster, NJ; State College, PA; and Syracuse, NY, for the opportunity to advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ, Oct. 11-14.

All players on the Suffolk All-Stars team are from Bethpage State Park Golf Course. Below is the roster:

Following the regular season, 10-player All-Star teams are formed from a combination of players in each league. Teams move through Section Championships in August to earn a spot at one of 12 Regionals held across the country in September. Twelve regional champions advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental, which has been held at Grayhawk Golf Club since 2016 and will stay through 2022.
