Renovated Stop & Shop Holds Grand Re-Opening
The store is packing some new features, such as prepared hot foods in-store.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Stop & Shop in Smithtown held its grand re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony in September, Legislator Leslie Kennedy's office announced via press release on Friday. The store is packing some new features, as part of the retailer's initiative to enhance its locations.
Improvements include more prepared foods, such as stir fry stations, sushi bars, hot bars and meats like brisket and pulled pork smoked in-store; as well as in-store cafes offering smoothies, coffee, treats, and free WiFi, Supermarket News reported. There will also be expanded produce sections that offer more organic and locally grown fruits and vegetables, Italian specialty sections, more specialty cheeses, and more, according to Supermarket News.
A state-of-the-art floor plan is another new feature, according to Kennedy's office. Stop & Shop also announced that they have partnered with Long Island Cares as a community outreach program, to serve those in need across Long Island.
