Smithtown Class of 1971 50th Anniversary 2021 Scholarship

in partnership with The Smithtown Children's Foundation

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Smithtown graduating Class of 1971 and in memory of our classmates who have passed away, in conjunction with The Smithtown Children's Foundation, a scholarship has been established to award to a deserving 2021 Smithtown Senior from East or West who will be pursuing a career to help, or serve others in fields such as medicine, social work, science, or other field with an emphasis on community service.

This partnership allows your scholarship donations to be tax deductible. Simply click on this link: https://www.smithtownchildrensfoundation.com/donate to be directed to the SCF webpage. Look for “Class of 1971” in the dropdown menu and make your donation via Paypal or credit card. If you prefer to donate via check, please make your check payable to the Smithtown Children’s Foundation and mail your donation to: The Smithtown Children’s Foundation, PO Box 799, Nesconset, NY 11767. Please make sure to put “Class of 1971” in the memo line so that your donation can be directed to the proper scholarship account. We have until May 1st to collect donations.

Although we hope to be able to celebrate our 50th class reunion this September, given the pandemic it is unclear whether we will be able to do so. The scholarship is something we can all do this year to mark this important milestone. Considering that it has been a challenging year financially for many, any amount is appreciated. If you are able, please consider giving generously. So many of our classmates deserve to be remembered. Thank you!
