Smithtown Fire Department: Smithtown Elects New Chiefs Staff

On Thursday, April 8th, 2021, as state law requires, the members of the Smithtown FD held their annual elections for officers. Patrick V. Diecidue was elected the 46th Chief of Department and proudly steps into the role held by many Smithtown legends. Andrew Kelly, the Captain of Engine Co 5, was elected the new 3rd Assistant Chief and Timothy Duckham and Daniel Dongvort moved up to First & Second Assistant Chief respectively. In addition to department officers, companies elected their new leadership as well. Congratulations to all and best wishes on a successful year!
