Smithtown Man Allegedly Steals Gift Cards, Cash from Sports Authority

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thomas Sepe, 54, of Smithtown, was arrested on Oct. 25 in Smithtown and faces one misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Sepe was driving a 2010 Hyundai Accent on Nicolls Road, attempted to make a left turn onto Route 347 and crashed into another vehicle. Officers responding to the scene of the accident determined Sepe was intoxicated. 

Kevin Dwyer, 28, of Kings Park, was arrested on Oct. 24 in Smithtown and faces on felony charge of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth-degree. Dwyer sold jewelry he knew was stolen to a pawn shop on Smithtown's Main Street, according to police. The jewelry was worth more than $1,000. 

Evan Rosen, 30, of Smithtown, was arrested on Oct. 22 and faces one felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny. Police said Rosen, while an employee of Sports Authority in Commack, repeatedly stole cash and gift cards between Sept. 26 and Oct. 21. 

A Kings Park man was arrested on Oct. 21 in Smithtown for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and third-degree criminal trespassing. Police said the man was driving a 2006 Chrysler when his driver's license has been suspended 15 times on 6 different dates, most recently on Feb. 10, 2013. He also snuck into the boiler room of St. Catherine's Hospital without the proper authority or permission to do so, without giving reason, according to reports. 

Joey Mazzei, 20, of Commack was arrested in Smithtown Oct. 20 on one felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police said Mazzei had a stolen Macy's and Home Depot credit cards along with the personal identification of the rightful owner.
