Smithtown Police Blotter: $2,100 Stolen During Tag Sale At House
Someone went into the bathroom to steal the cash, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- April 14: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Alpine Court in Smithtown from April 10 at 8 a.m. Jewelry was nabbed from a home, police said.
- April 14: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Village Way in Village of the Branch at 7 a.m. A safe was stolen from a home, police said.
- April 12: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Grace Oak Road in St. James from April 10 at 9 a.m. During a tag sale at a home, someone went into the bathroom and stole more than $2,100 in cash, police said.
- April 12: Criminal mischief (third-degree) was reported on West Main Street in Smithtown from April 10 at 7:30 p.m. Someone scratched a 2016 Honda, police said.
