Smithtown Police Blotter: 2 Bagel Shops Burglarized

One bagel store is in Smithtown, while the other is in St. James, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • June 19: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on Middle Country Road in St. James at 3:33 a.m. Someone broke the glass front door of Everyday Bagels and stole cash, police said.
  • June 18: Criminal mischief (third-degree) was reported on Sunny Road in St. James from June 17 at midnight. Someone keyed a 2015 Jeep Wrangler in a driveway, police said.
  • June 16: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Moriches Road in Lake Grove from June 11 at 12:20 p.m. A person was scammed, police said.
  • June 14: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown from June 13 at 2:30 p.m. Someone pried open a back door at Master Bagel and stole cash, police said.
