Smithtown Police Blotter: 2 Homes Burglarized
Cash, gold coins and jewelry were stolen between the two homes, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Nov. 21: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Oak Street in Smithtown from Nov. 13 at 8:30 a.m. Someone broke into a home by damaging the sliding back door and stole cash and gold coins, police said.
- Nov. 20: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset at 12:50 a.m. Three men entered King O'Rourke Buick GMC using a crowbar to break the glass of a side door, police said. They stole two vehicles — a 2016 GMC Sierra and 2019 GMC Yukon — from inside the store, police said.
- Nov. 19: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on West Main Street in Smithtown at noon. A woman left her pocketbook unattended in a Stop & Shop shopping cart, and someone swiped her wallet, which contained credit cards, police said.
- Nov. 17: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove at 12:05 p.m. Two people stole multiple bottles of perfume from Ulta Beauty, police said.
- Nov. 16: Criminal mischief (fourth-degree) was reported on River Heights Court in Smithtown at 5:50 p.m. Someone damaged the frame of a home's door and set off the alarm, police said. The person did not enter the home, police said.
- Nov. 16: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on River Heights Drive in Smithtown at 2 p.m. Someone entered a home through a kitchen window and stole jewelry, police said.
