Smithtown Police Blotter: Cash Register Stolen From Yērōs
ALSO: A woman was scammed out of money by someone claiming to work for PSEG, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- May 27: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on North Country Road in St. James at 2:57 a.m. Someone opened the back door at yērōs and stole the register drawer and a checkbook, police said.
- May 26: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Old Landers Court in Smithtown at 11:31 a.m. Someone claimed to be a representative from PSEG and told a homeowner if she didn't pay a bill, they would cut off her electricity, police said. The woman sent money through an app in what police determined to be a scam.
- May 25: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Bonny Court in Nesconset from April 23 at midnight. Someone stole a diamond ring and two sapphire rings from a home, police said.
