Smithtown Police Blotter: Pricey Purse Nabbed From Unlocked Car
ALSO: Someone posed as a Citibank employee and stole money from someone, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Jan. 29: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Community Drive in Nesconset from Jan. 28 at 9:30 p.m. Four rims and tires were stolen off a 2018 Infiniti in a parking lot, police said.
- Jan. 26: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Tara Court in Lake Grove at 4 p.m. Someone called a resident while feigning to work for Citibank and told the resident they noticed fraudulent activity on their account, police said. The fake representative was able to access the person's account and steal money, police said.
- Jan. 24: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Lakeside Avenue in Lake Grove at 12:30 p.m. A thief stole a Louis Vuitton purse and credit cards left in an unlocked 2004 Cadillac, police said.
