Smithtown Police Blotter: Safe Stolen From Unlocked Ford

ALSO: Someone's duffle bag was stolen out of their gym locker at Planet Fitness, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • May 22: Assault was reported on Nesconset Highway in Smithtown at 2:08 a.m. A man was punched in his face during a bar fight and brought to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
  • May 18: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Mayfair Road in Nesconset at 7:20 a.m. Someone broke the back window of a 2021 Toyota and stole a laptop and iPad, police said.
  • May 17: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Crystal Brook Court in Nesconset from May 16 at 8 p.m. Someone went into an unlocked 2019 Ford F150 parked in a driveway and stole a safe containing cash out of the center console of the vehicle, police said.
  • May 17: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset at 7:30 a.m. A thief unlocked someone's locker at Planet Fitness and stole a duffle bag containing cash, gift cards, debit and credit cards, police said.
