Smithtown Police Blotter: Snowplow Stolen From Auto Body Shop

ALSO: "BLM" was spray-painted on someone's Jeep, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Dec. 11: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Arlington Avenue in St. James from Dec. 4 at 8 a.m. Someone stole a snowplow from Performance Auto Body in St. James, police said.
  • Dec. 9: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset from Dec. 8 at 11:15 p.m. Someone stole Christmas garden decorations from Carol's Plant Shed in Nesconset, police said.
  • Dec. 8: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Cornelia Lane in Lake Grove at midnight. Someone stole a Mercedes parked in a driveway, police said. The vehicle was recovered by the East Orange Police Autosquad in New Jersey, police said.
  • Dec. 8: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on East Main Street in Village of the Branch at 8 a.m. A 2007 Toyota Rav4 was stolen near a commercial building, police said.
  • Dec. 8: Criminal mischief (fourth-degree) was reported on Larkspur Drive in Smithtown from Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. Someone broke the back window of a 2013 Ford pickup that was parked in a driveway, police said.
  • Dec. 7: Criminal mischief (fourth-degree) was reported on Ridge Road in Smithtown from Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. Someone spray-painted "BLM" on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, police said.
