Smithtown Police Blotter: Teenage Boy Assaulted
The teenager was walking with his friends in Smithtown when he was hit in the face by someone, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- July 2: Assault was reported at an unknown road in Smithtown from July 1 at 10:30 p.m. A 16-year-old boy was walking with his friends in Smithtown when a male struck him in the face with his hand, police said. The teen suffered minor injuries and was treated at Stony Brook Hospital, police said.
- June 28: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Tide Mill Road in Smithtown from June 3 at 8 a.m. A person's ID was stolen, money was withdrawn from their bank account multiple times, and fraudulent checks were written, police said.
