Smithtown Restaurant Announces Closure After 13 Years in Business
The eatery will be serving its final dinner this weekend.

SMITHTOWN, NY - After 13 years in business, a Smithtown restaurant announced it will be closing down soon.
In a note on its website, Butera’s Restaurant of Smithtown, located on 65 E. Main Street, stated it will be serving its final customers on Saturday, August 4.
"As we decide to pursue other endeavors, we have sold the location to another restaurateur and will be closing this Butera’s location, effective August 4, 2019," the statement read. "We have developed many relationships and loyal customers over the years. The community of Smithtown has welcomed and has supported us – for that we will be forever grateful – thank you. Thank you for being part of Butera’s Restaurant over the past decade."

Customers can still enjoy Butera's food at the other two locations in Woodbury and Sayville.
In addition, following the closing of the Smithtown restaurant, Butera's announced a new restaurant will be opening in Bay Shore.

The new eatery is expected to open in 2020. According to Newsday, the latest business will be located on Third Avenue.
