Smithtown West Golfer Wins County Championship

Congratulations to Paige Diecidue!

From Syntax: Smithtown High School West student Paige Diecidue took first place in the Suffolk County girls individual golf championship on May 21 at Middle Island Country Club. Diecidue was only a seventh grader when she first qualified for the Suffolk County girls golf championships in 2014. For the past five seasons, she has had her eyes set on capturing a county title. Diecidue took first place by shooting two over par 73 in the second round to finish with a 36 hole total of six over par 148, capturing the title for her sixth straight appearance. Diecidue now heads to the state championship May 31 to June 2 at Deerfield Country Club in Brockport, New York.
