Snowplow Stolen From Suffolk Store Worth $8,000: Police

The pricey snowplow was stolen sometime earlier this month, police say.

ST. JAMES, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the person or people who Suffolk police said stole a snowplow from a St. James store earlier this month.

Someone or a group stole a contractor-grade Western snow plow from Performance Auto Body, at 104 Arlington Ave., sometime between Dec. 4 and Dec. 6, police said. The plow was valued at roughly $8,000.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
