Spring To Make An Early Showing On Long Island This Weekend
Warm weather this weekend is going to make you forget it's January.
It may be frigid right now, but spring is set to make an early showing this weekend, even if it won't stick around for long. According to the National Weather Service, Thursday's predicted high is just around 34 degrees. Things will start warming up tomorrow though, giving Long Islanders a nice reprieve from the snowy start to the week.
Friday's high is predicted at about 50 degrees. But Saturday and Sunday will be even better. The high for Saturday is around 58 degrees, and Sunday's is a whopping 62. That's not that warm if it's July, but for January, it's practically tropical.
That warmer weather is only sticking around for the weekend, though. On Monday, the high is going to drop back down to 46, and it'll hover around there for the beginning of next week.
