Taste of Smithtown To Benefit Local Charities on Thursday

Events benefits The Smithtown Children's Foundation, Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry and the Gift of Life.

Residents are invited to come out and sample local cuisine from various eateries to support three Smithtown-based charities. 

Senior Resources of Long Island, based in Kings Park, will host the 8th annual Taste of Smithtown this Thursday, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the newly renovated Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown. 

The event features samples of the best local in food, wine and beet from more than 30 artisans. In addition to the food and drink, there will be a step and repeat red carpet opportunity, cigar rolling, a Chinese auction and a door prize. 

Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the doors. Checks should be made payable to one of three Smithtown charities of choice: The Smithtown Children's Foundation, Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry and the
Gift of Life. 

The Smithtown Children's Foundation aims to provide financial and emotional support for children and families in need within the Smithtown community by bringing together friends, families, neighbors and local businesses. 

Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry  has been dedicated to helping those in need within the community for over 25 years. It serves more than 12,500 meals to over 400 families each year operated jointly by local churches. 

Those who wish to avoid waiting in line can mail checks  in advance to Senior Resources of Long Island, 277 Indian Head Road, Kings Park, NY 11754.
