Town Of Smithtown Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony: Preview
Here's what Town of Smithtown residents should know about the ceremony.
TOWN OF SMITHTOWN, NY — The Town of Smithtown's fourth annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4. The event will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m.at Smithtown Town Hall, and is free for Town residents.
The community-based ceremony will include live music, performances from the Town's local school districts, delicious treats and a special guest from the North Pole, courtesy of Smithtown Fire Department, the Town said.
Feature performances include the Smithtown High School West Whisperettes Kickline, the Smithtown HS West Jazz Choir, the Great Hollow Middle School Chorus, and the Kings Park High School Orchestra.

Entertainment for the evening will include live music by DJ Just For the Record and Balloon Sculpting for kids of all ages by Animations. Cookies and milk will be served by the Town of Smithtown’s Recreation Department team. Fresh baked cookies were donated by Lessing's Hospitality Group and Garguilo’s Bakery.
In addition, the ceremony will serve as a collection site for the Smithtown Food Pantry. Residents can help by bringing non-perishables like canned foods, boxed cereals and snacks, powdered milk and powdered baby formula.
