Peter Pan The Musical

• Cost: $30 for adults, $20 for children

Family Adventure: Exploring Life in the River

• Nissequogue River State Park, 799 Saint Johnland Rd., Kings Park
• Sunday, June 29 at 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
• Cost: free for children under 3, $3 for children 3-17, $4 per adult

Ideal for children aged five an up, this program will teach your little ones about the animals living in the shallow waters of the Nissequogue River. Bring sunscreen, a towel and water-appropriate shoes.

Create a Piece of Colorful Firework Art

• Maritime Explorium, 101 East Broadway, Port Jefferson
• Saturday, June 28 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Cost: $5

Kids will get the chance to see how colors blend together on paper and then cut out their own designs to make a firework scene.

MMA Platinum Gloves: MMA on Long Island

• The Sports Arena, 620 Middle Country Rd., St. James
• Saturday, June 28 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Cost: $20 for general admission (standing room), $30 for floor seats and $50 ringside

Older kids might enjoy this 5th installment of the MMA Platinum Gloves series. Developed to showcase local amateur MMA talent on Long Island, the series features 10 MMA fights from local talent from across the tri-state area.
