Weekend Fun Pick: 24th Annual Seafood Festival

Record crowds expected at this year's festival in West Sayville.

The Long Island Maritime Museum’s 24th Annual Seafood Festival is on tap this weekend.

The family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 88 West Avenue, south of Montauk Highway, in West Sayville. Admission is $8 a person. Children 5 and under are free.

In addition to unsurpassed seafood offerings, there will also be many activities offered throughout the weekend, including live performances on the main stage by several notable acts, children’s activities, live pirate shows, public sails aboard the historic Oyster Sloop Priscilla, and an arts and crafts show.

“Judging by the number of online tickets already sold, we are expecting record crowds tomorrow!” a post on the festival’s Facebook page reads. “Be smart, avoid long ticket purchase lines and buy online!”
