2 Hurt In 5-Car Northern State Parkway Crash, Officials Say

JERICHO, NY — Two people had to be taken to a hospital following a five-vehicle crash on the westbound lanes of the Northern State Parkway in Jericho. The crash happened around noon on Martin Luther King Jr. Day near Exit 35 for North Broadway, officials told Patch.

The Jericho Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the wreck and two people were rushed to Syosset Hospital by Jericho Ambulance 9419.

The crash closed the westbound lanes for about an hour, officials said. Crews applied a speedy dry solution to the roadway to clean fluid spills. New York state troopers secured the scene.
