Crash Near Nassau Synagogue Leaves 2 Hurt, Driver Pinned
Officials say two drivers were hospitalized following the crash.

JERICHO, NY — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a two-car crash in front of a Jericho synagogue, officials said.
The cars collided around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday near the Jericho Jewish Center on North Broadway, officials said. The Jericho Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County police found a driver pinned under the dashboard and steering wheel in one of the cars.
Crews used hydraulic tools to remove the driver from the mangled vehicle. The other driver was also hurt. A baby in a car seat was not harmed.

Both drivers were taken to hospitals and North Broadway was closed for more than an hour.
