'Disney Delights' Performed By The Syosset School District
The District's annual showcase featured an ensemble of Disney songs performed by students ranging from elementary to high school

The Syosset School District’s annual Summer Stock showcase was held on Aug. 7 and 8 and featured almost 30 students from elementary to high school performing an ensemble of Disney songs.
The performance, called “Disney Delights,” featured favorite characters like Ariel, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Elsa and even Walt Disney himself. Disney classics like “Under the Sea” were performed, as well as Frozen’s “Let it Go,” which was made popular by Syosset High School Alum Idina Menzel.
“What’s nice about summer stock is that it gives kids some structure and gives them one extra thing to do over the summer,” Syosset’s summer school principal Chris Meyers said. “Some of these kids have never acted before, but because this elective is available, they commit to this and it gives them something to do. They often get to take a lead role in the performance.”
