Driver Crashes Into Nassau Building: 2 Hit By Falling Debris
An SUV smashed into a building Monday. Two people were hurt by falling debris, police said.

WOODBURY, NY — Two people were hurt by falling debris in Woodbury when an SUV driver accidentally hit the gas while on a driveway and crashed into the building they were in.
Police were called to the crash around 5 p.m. Monday on Crossways Park Drive, near Crossways Park Drive West, Nassau County police said.
A 47-year-old woman was driving a 2020 Dodge Durango and leaving a building's driveway that exited onto Crossways Park Drive when she mistakenly pressed the accelerator, police said. The vehicle crossed the road and smashed into the building at 415 Crossways Park Drive.

The vehicle entered the building and left two people with minor injuries. One of them, a 55-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
A building inspector with the Town of Oyster Bay was called to the scene to ensure the structure was sound.
