Driver Rescued From Overturned Vehicle In Nassau: PHOTOS

Firefighters and police rushed to the scene of a two-car crash involving an SUV and luxury sedan.

WOODBURY, NY — Firefighters rescued a person who became trapped when a vehicle overturned in Woodbury, officials said. The Syosset Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County police were sent to a two-car crash involving an SUV and a luxury sedan Thursday at Woodbury Road and Jericho Turnpike.

First responders helped the driver of a Toyota SUV out of her vehicle. Both drivers were evaluated at the intersection.

Syosset firefighters secured the scene and applied speedy dry to treat fluid spills on the roadway.

Police emergency service officers flipped the vehicle upright and cleared the roadway. There were heavy traffic delays on Jericho Turnpike while crews worked the crash.
