Fire Breaks Out In Syosset Home

The fire started in the home's bathroom, and it was extinguished by the Syosset Fire Department, police said. No injuries were reported.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A fire broke out inside of the bathroom of a Syosset home on Friday, Nassau County police said.

Police said they were notified that a fire had erupted inside a Hicks Avenue home at about 2:40 p.m. The fire started in the ceiling of the bathroom, according to one report on Facebook. No injuries were reported in the fire, which was not considered serious and was extinguished by the Syosset Fire Department, police said. No further details were available from police.

The Jericho and Hicksville fire departments also responded to the fire, according to one report.
