Firefighters Extinguish Blaze At Syosset Bagel Shop
Officials say firefighters used three water extinguishers to put out flames in a lower oven.

SYOSSET, NY —Firefighters were called to a bagel shop in Syosset over the weekend after an oven caught fire.
The Syosset Volunteer Fire Department and a dual response Engine Company from the Jericho Volunteer Fire Department were called around 2:30 p.m. Sunday to Brendel's Bagels and Eatery on Jericho Turnpike.
Firefighters used three water extinguishers to put out flames in a lower oven, officials said. Fans were brought in to vent the smoke.
