Large Tree Branch Crashes Onto Sports Car In Nassau
Officials say the driver is lucky to be alive after a large tree branch fell onto his convertible sports car.

SYOSSET, NY — A large tree fell on top of a convertible sports car over the weekend in Syosset, ripping down power lines and knocking out power to the area.
A convertible Mustang was driving on Convent Road, near Southwoods Road, on Saturday when the driver heard a loud crack and leaned forward in his car just as a large tree branch crashed into his car narrowly missing him. No passengers were in the car.
The Syosset Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the car along with Nassau County police. Convent Rd was closed in both directions while crews cleaned and restored power to the area.
