"I'm pleased to say that the LI Marketing Networking Group has grown significantly over the past 12 months," said Group Founder and Chairperson Larry Drago. "The rise in membership has fostered increased collaboration and networking for members, as well as greater engagement within the meetings themselves. We look forward to keeping the group on a growth path in 2020."
It’s All About Branding
The growth spurt is attributed to word of mouth, search engine optimization (SEO) and public relations efforts that have piqued the interest of Long Island’s marketing community. A new logo recently was introduced to focus on the networking aspect of the group. The design features a silhouette of Long Island.
"It's funny how for a marketing organization we never bothered to focus on branding the group until last year," said Vice-Chairperson Kevin Simms. "It's been a fun project that has definitely elevated the group's image and exposure so we can bring even more opportunities for member growth and education. I'm excited for what lies ahead!"
Drago and Simms developed logo concepts over several months with Simms handling the design artwork. Besides bringing the logo to its final form, they have collaborated on membership recruitment and more compelling copy/imagery for the monthly meetings.
"Our Marketing Group finally has a logo that assists with branding and defining the group's image," added Drago. "The LI Marketing Networking Group has always drawn its members from Nassau and Suffolk counties, and our goal is to continue to attract even more marketing, public relations and communications professionals who live and work here on Long Island. The logo provides consistent branding, so that target professionals will know who we are and how we can help their careers with continual learning and networking."
