Hometown: Syosset
Hero's job: Volunteer
If other, job: Food pantry
Relationship to nominee: She runs a much-needed food pantry for anyone who needs food at St. Edward the Confessor church. I know her from volunteering at a nursing home pre-COVID-19.
Reason for recognition: She never turns anyone away from the pantry, is always fundraising for the pantry, gives food without question to anyone who asks, spends many hours there, helps people from all over, not just in Syosset.
One thing to know: She is more concerned about others’ suffering than herself.
Thank you for all you do, Donna!
