New Children's Recreation Center Opens In Syosset

SYOSSET, NY - A new children's recreation center recently opened up in Syosset.

Momo's Playhouse, located on 140 Eileen Way, Suite 200 specializes in themed birthday parties and open play for toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.

"Our space is designed to promote imagination and creativity through carefully designed interactive play and play structures," a description on Momo's Facebook page reads. "It’s a unique play space which offers safe and clean environment for both children and parents. Our open concept design will ensure a comfortable and stress-free environment for parents."

Co-owners Stephanie Moy and Susan Kim started the business in order to offer parents a choice beyond "cookie-cutter party rooms" for their kid's birthday parties, according to a report in Newsday.

“We built the furniture and a lot of the decorations, so we really offer a handmade experience," Moy told Newsday. "We also invite parents who are looking for specific things for their child’s birthday to make suggestions, as we’re open to trying things."

Momo's offers several different birthday packages for 12 kids that includes 2 hours of "Party & Play" as well extras such as invitations, thank you cards, pizza, drinks, mini party favors, and more.

In addition, the business offers open play which includes a jungle gym with an obstacle course, a play farmers market, an art nook, LEGO nook, bean bag wall and play cafe.

There's something for parents too -- a cafe that serves coffee snacks and baked goods.

Open play hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the exception on days there are private parties.
