Northern State Parkway Crash: 3 Hospitalized, Traffic Snarled

SYOSSET, NY — Three people were hospitalized following a two-car crash on the Northern State Parkway in Syosset, officials said.

Volunteers fire departments from Syosset and Jericho rushed to the crash Thursday on the eastbound lanes of the parkway near South Oyster Bay Road, officials said. Nassau County and state police officers were also sent to the wreck.

Three people were hurt and taken to hospitals. The left lane was closed for about 30 minutes while crews worked the wreck, causing major delays. Crews applied a speedy dry solution to clean fluid spills on the roadway.
