John G. Wachter, known as "Opa" to all those who knew and loved him, passed away on March 13, 2017. He was born in his parents house (Henry and Alice) in Richmond Hill, on January 26, 1927. His beloved wife Helen passed away in 1995. He is survived by his loving children Judith Montelione and her husband Paul and Jack Wachter and his wife Theresa. He is the cherished grandfather of Jacqueline Dezelic, Jon Paul Wachter, Dawn Harmer, Jeanne Lubrico, Sean Wachter and his two grandchildren already in heaven; Danielle Cooper and Richard Barthel. Adored great grandfather of Stephen, Corinne, Christopher, Emily, Ian, Gavin, Julianna, Sophia, Anna, Isabella, Cameron and Ava Grace who is with the angels in heaven. He was also predeceased by his loving brother Hank and a sister Anne.
