About 200 extras were on set to act as citizens who were protesting the building of a casino in their community.
Many of the extras first heard about the opportunity to be in the film through an article on Patch. Extras held up anti-casino signs like “No Casino, No Dice” and “The Odds Are Against A Cascino.”

Stimson isn’t the only place in Huntington that has been getting some serious camera time.
The “Fair Market Value” crew has filmed in several Huntington locations over the past few weeks.
Those who watch the film may recognize many filming locations:
- Huntington Harbor (a jet ski scene)
- West Hills Day Camp
- Acacia Restaurant
- Better Homes & Gardens
- A barber shop on New York Avenue
Director Kevin Arbouet told Patch that Huntington will be mentioned in the film.
“Fair Market Value” is a romantic comedy that targets people over the age of 30.
In the film, a Miami real estate agent moves to the suburbs of New York and starts to butt heads with a competing real estate agent. The two rivals are then forced to work together to sell one of the most expensive mansions on Long Island.
“You won’t laugh once, you will laugh 15 times,” executive producer Judy San Roman told Patch.
The film stars Luisana Lopilato, an Argentine actress and wife of singer Michael Buble, who is making her United States film debut.
She stars alongside Drew Moerlein, the male lead. Moerlein, whose former girlfriend was from Huntington, said he enjoyed coming back to the area to film scenes from the movie.
San Roman is a Huntington resident herself and chooses to film in the area that she calls home.
This isn’t the first time Stimson was used as a movie set. San Roman also shot scenes inside the school for the film “In Sickness.”
Arbouet says the film will go to theaters and will most likely make it to Sundance Film Festival. The film will make it to theaters in about a year, he says.
