Rare Public appearance by renowned Civil War artist Mort Kunstler

Join us at the Heckscher Museum of Art, Sunday April 12th, 2-4 pm. In conjunction with the unveiling of “Respect of an Army”, Mr. Kunstler will be signing his latest print as well as his book, which will be available for purchase. This painting commemorates the 150th anniversary of the signing of the terms of surrender, for the army of Northern Virginia by Generals Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant. Kunstler’s painting merges history and art to create a unique and memorable sense of understanding to the conclusion of the Civil War.
