Semi-Trailer Overturns On Long Island Expressway
Traffic slowed to a crawl during rush hour Wednesday morning.

JERICHO, NY — A tractor-trailer overturned on the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway, forcing three lanes to close during the rush hour commute Wednesday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation. The semi-trailer overturned around 5:45 a.m. near Exit 40E for Jericho Turnpike.
The high-occupancy lane left and center lanes remained closed for hours. The eastbound HOV lane was also temporarily closed.
As of 9:30 a.m., all lanes appeared to reopen.
