Syosset High School celebrated National Athlete Commitment Day on Friday, November 20, 2020. Syosset’s most distinguished student-athletes committed to play their respective sports at the collegiate level during a ceremony held outside on the new multipurpose artificial turf field. Syosset Director of Athletics, PE and Recreation Drew Cronin and boys varsity lacrosse coach John Calabria hosted the annual event attended by family, administration, faculty and coaches.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Thomas Rogers, along with the students’ Syosset coaches, commended the student-athletes on their character, dedication and achievement both on and off the playing fields. “Although these young men and women have been battling a global pandemic they still managed to persevere through it all,” added Calabria. “They have made their respective sports programs proud at Syosset High School and we know that they will continue that tradition in the collegiate ranks.”
