Syosset Students Win At Emerging Leaders Business Conference
Syosset High School students Gavin Solomon and Jack Conklin win 1st place in the entrepreneurship event.

The 16th annual Emerging Leaders Business Competition attracted more than 350 student participants from high schools all across Long Island. The students addressed current issues and tasks in 20 categories ranging from graphic design and retail marketing to travel and tourism and more. The event took place at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, New York which was sponsored by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.
Syosset High School juniors Jack Conklin and Gavin Solomon competed in the entrepreneurship event where they were tasked with forming an innovative start-up business that would benefit the community. After students competed in their assigned events they then attended an awards ceremony where the winners were announced. It was announced that Syosset students Jack Conklin and Gavin Solomon won 1st place in the entrepreneurship event.
