Syosset, NY; October 5, 2020 – Homes By Mara Realty of Syosset, NY, recently welcomed Nicole Oustatcher of Woodbury, NY as its latest Licensed Associate Broker. Oustatcher joins Homes By Mara after a highly successful executive career in the financial services industry, where she worked with some of the leading banking and trust companies in the world, of which she says is a great benefit for the top-notch service and attention she is dedicated to delivering to real estate clients.

"Having the responsibility to get things done and providing the highest level of service for valued clients at top financial companies such as Citi and Bank of America coupled with having the accountability for ensuring every detail was done to their standards of excellence allows me the ability to provide the same for real estate buyers and sellers. Real estate clients should expect nothing less than exceptional service and personalized attention from whatever real estate professional they are working with," explained Oustatcher. "When I met Homes By Mara Realty President and Owner Mara Navaretta to discuss the chance of working in real estate and today's needs for real estate clients, it became immediately clear that not only would working in real estate be a great second career for me but that working with her agency would be a perfect fit for me as well. I simply could not have asked for a better opportunity and could not be happier."

Oustatcher began her career as a Trust Officer with Bankers Trust Company in Manhattan, NY, where she managed trust and estate accounts for high net worth clients. As part of her duties administering trusts and estates, she gained experience interviewing real estate brokers, selecting exclusive brokers, and negotiating and entering into listing agreements. She also worked closely with designated brokers to appraise, list, show, as well as sell private and commercial properties. After four years at Bankers Trust, Oustatcher spent 10 years at Citi in Manhattan, NY, where she held roles such as Head of Strategic Initiatives, reporting directly to the CEO of the Citi Private Bank, and also serving as Chief of Staff to the General Counsel of Citi Global Wealth Management. Oustatcher then spent nine years at Bank of America, where she held the roles of Head of Global Wealth & Investment Management Client Communications, Head of Global Wealth & Management Change Management, Chief Operating Officer for Global Wealth & Investment Management Compliance, and Head of Anti-Money Laundering for Citi Private Bank in Manhattan, NY. Just before joining Homes By Mara Realty, Oustatcher was Global Head of Ethics for BNY Mellon in Manhattan, where she was responsible for setting strategy and ensuring employee compliance with company policies and procedures as well as conduct-related laws, rules and regulations.

Oustatcher added, “While the real estate business is highly served and competitive today, my own personal experiences as a seller and buyer of real estate both in Manhattan and on Long Island really opened my eyes to my own needs and wants as a real estate client. I look forward to bringing these experiences as well as my background in banks and trust companies dealing with the most sophisticated and discerning clientele to Mara and her team. My goals as a real estate professional are the same as those I have had as a banking executive, always striving to meet and exceed client expectations and delivering results for them, while at the same time, and more importantly, protecting them from many risks to ensure they achieve the optimal result with the least possible inconvenience so they can focus on themselves and their families. I am very excited to bring these experiences and mindset for effectively serving the home buyer and seller clients we represent at Homes By Mara.”

A graduate from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida with A Bachelor of Arts in English Literature who also has a Juris Doctor Degree from New York Law School in Manhattan, NY, Oustatcher speaks fluent French in addition to English.

“Nicole is a great complement for both our Homes By Mara operations and our clients,” comments Mara Navaretta, Owner and President of Homes By Mara Realty. “Her over 20 years’ practice in the financial sector is beneficial for our clients when it comes to explaining and breaking down the financial process behind real estate transactions while her experience in working with brokers from the other side gives her a unique point of view on what home buyers and sellers need when it comes to the right level of attention and service.”

Among Oustatcher’s achievements and industry involvement are establishing and leading the award-winning CitSelect Legal Recruitment Program and being selected to attend the SIFMA Securities Industry Institute Executive Development Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Oustatcher has been actively involved throughout her career in various employee affinity groups, including: Citi Diversity Council; Bank of America’s GWIM Women’s Exchange, LEAD for Women, and Women in Technology & Operations; and the BNY Mellon Risk & Compliance Mentoring Program.
