Snow is falling across Long Island Monday and Nassau County is under a winter weather advisory.

* HAZARD TYPES...ACCUMULATING SNOW. * ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 6 INCHES. * WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH. * TEMPERATURES...AROUND 30. * VISIBILITIES...ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.
* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING...AND CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON. * IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS.

Things will be worse in Suffolk County, which is under winter storm warning on Monday. The East End may see 6-8 inches of snow.
Long Island snow total projections have dropped since Monday morning, with 4-6 inches of snow now expected across most of the island.
Snow is also expected to fall Monday night and through Tuesday on Long Island. Another several inches of snow is likely to accumulate by the end of Tuesday night. There is a 80 percent chance of light snow on Wednesday and a 40 percent chance of light snow on Thursday.

Here’s the full forecast for Nassau County:
This Afternoon- Snow, mainly before 4pm. High near 35. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Breezy, with a north wind 13 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tonight- A slight chance of snow before 10pm, then a chance of light snow, mainly after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Northeast wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tuesday- Light snow, mainly after 7am. High near 34. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Northeast wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tuesday Night- Light snow. Low around 28. Northeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Wednesday- Light snow. High near 37. West wind 5 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday Night- A chance of light snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Thursday- A chance of light snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
